The largest Buddha image in Bangkok can be found at Wat Paknam. At almost 70 metres high, it can be seen from quite a distance. We combined a visit with a fun ride on the monorail.

This is why I named the blog Strolling Adventures.

This is why I named the blog Strolling Adventures. These moments are still my favourite thing about travelling. This trip was our first without an actual stroller, but we still love to just stroll around neighbourhoods and take in the sights.

This was on our way to the Big Buddha statue. We slowly walked our way through back streets and across this bridge where a monk said, "Good morning."

Wat Arun sits on Bangkok's Chao Phraya River bank.

Wat Arun sits on Bangkok's Chao Phraya River bank. The tall temple structures are a city icon and can be seen from a distance.

Wat Arun is a great temple to visit with kids as you are able to walk up staircases and along narrow walkways on those amazing iconic structures.

Looking up close, you will find all sorts of colourful details.

This was a cool spot to find in Bangkok. Ong Ang Walking Street runs along the canal and has a range of market stalls, restaurants, and international street food. We had Taiwan food, including a coriander and peanut ice-cream roll, which was something new for us, and it was delicious. The walls leading to the night market feature some incredible street art, too. I will create another post to show them.
The night market runs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

I already posted a photo of the reclining Buddha at Wat Pho but there is so much more to this temple. The grounds are large with lots of walls and doorways and we got a little lost trying to find the Buddha. The detailed work on the buildings and structures is stunning.

We absolutely loved our time in Thailand. Our 3 week trip included renting a car, cycling around ruins, visiting temples, waterfalls, and beaches.

It's been a while between posts, but we are still here. While visiting family, we were tourists near our old hometown. Showing the kids places they couldn't remember from when we lived in the area.
