Photo’s from around Kyoto

We only spent a short time in Kyoto, but absolutely loved it. The smaller city has a lot of charm. Once Japan’s capital, Kyoto is full of cultural history, with ancient temples and shrines throughout. Everywhere we went, there was gorgeous scenery to be enjoyed. Kyoto is divided into five districts, Central; North; Eastern (Higashiyama); South and Western (Arashiyama).  Although Kyoto Station is always bustling with commuters, the city centre still somehow gives a relaxed feel.

Here are some random shots from around Kyoto.

The following three photo’s are of the Kamo river, all taken from the bridge near Kiyomizu-Gojo Station.
